Why are girls better at the university?

I am a new university professor. I noticed girls in general are better at class discussions. doing the required homework, and with analytical reasoning. asked other professors from several universities, mainly men but from both genders, and the vast majority had the same observation.
as a professor, it is my duty to lift the level of my students skills and notably teach pieces of information. therefore my questions is for all but mainly to students. what do you think is the reason? is it only maturity and responsibility? or is there something mental. When you discuss classes with the other sex do you feel they are intellectually Superior/inferior? or you just feel they are more/less active in the studies?

I don't know why but guys tend to be a lot more distracted in class. I've also noticed guys of a certain age tend to be less "grown-up" compared to girls of that same age. My spouse is close to her mid 30s and a registered nurse, and most of the men around her age are working in positions under her. From what I heard from her, those guys have changed professions which I think is more common in guys. All this tells me that guys stay less fixated and "jump around" lessons and careers more often than girls do. Now obviously there are guys who are different, and guys do make up the top of most professions so my answer is my personal observation of the average situation.

Women who choose to go to uni are the ones who are carrer focused and the ones who are career focused are more determined to do better and communicate better. They basically set their minds to what they wanna do and we’re prepared before going to uni.

Maybe. But the question would come why are they more focused.

women are more mature and career minded on average obviously there are exceptions. they are have more supportive friend groups so socializing is always seen as good thing. men however can have friend groups but they aren't as emotionally supportive (i. e. talking about emotions and problems as a man is weak while as a woman it is a virtue for building connections). also this is also speculation but when guys get together unless they are in the same class they won't being studying while girls can study in groups easier or more frequently.

Professors go easier on them and give them more praise for the same achievements. They graduate, but perform worse when it comes to actual jobs. If they were actually better, they would do the jobs better, but instead they do good in college due to professors going easier on them. That is what I have seen anyways. Plus, giving credit for homework completion instead of answer accuracy is a sign of a bad, incompetent professor.

I am not talking about grades.
They participate more in class. With more depth. reasoning is better. The do assignments. a lot of things that may not relate to grades.

Maybe the guys are more stressed out from working or taking out student loans since they don't get exclusive grants/scholarships (free money) that women do.
From what I have seen, the women's reasoning is often worse, but their participation is better. Doing assignments is poor for both when it comes to group assignments. Both men and women have people that don't do their part.

From what i see, men care less about time limits and other consequences. Girls are more aware about the after effects of not doing their jobs. Some girls also get scared and spread fear for no reason
