What should I gift a coworker?

So I'm 19 and I started working at the bank three weeks ago. Everyone there is older than I am, and I'm very shy and awkward and I haven't got close to anyone yet. My coworker invited everyone, including me, to celebrate her birthday and the last day after work. I really don't want to go and ruin things since I know I'm not very social. I was thinking about giving her a $50 gift card and an excuse. But it seems rude since they go right after work. She asked me about 2 times if I'm going, I said I would try. Please advise with gift ideas and what should I do

Tell her the truth, you feel like you lack of social skills will ruin the vibe so you don't think it would be a good idea to go, tell her this when giving her her gift of course lol

You just started working their, so you really aren't obligated to buy him a gift. But a $20 dollar gift card suffice.
