Generally speaking, empathy and feelings of guilt do usually exclude someone from a dark triad diagnosis, since alexithymia is a key trait of all three personality disorders and the mechanic by which those antisocial behaviors manifest.

The most obvious sign that you do not have a dark triad trait is the fact that you aren't in jail, though.
Dark triad personality disorders are pretty severe cognitive deficits, most people who have them start committing crime pretty much as early as they are able to.

I'm also a bit perplexed about someone too. They have a cat and seem to pet the cat when it wants to be and respect when it doesn't. But they seem unemotional or to force emotions so I wonder if they are high functioning Aspergers or a psychopath. 🤔
