Find a good study group, have a special spot in the library for you and those folks, carry an extension cord with you (you'll never know when you might not be close enough to an outlet and need to be), join a club that is of interest and does good, study hard and take it seriously, find joy in the little things, talk on the phone or video chat with fam regularly, carry snacks or at least gum for you and your friends, have a good water bottle to carry with you, carry your own dry erase makers and a rag for an eraser.
I'm sure there's more I'll think about later.

People in college are usually much nicer than you would probably expect. Everyone's just trying to make it through themselves, so most people are gladly willing to work on assignments together.

college professors are people who talk about ideas for a living... they rarely if ever must implement an idea. This makes them very impractical people easily seduced by ideas that sound good but don't work in real life. be wary of that.
who you know is usually more important than what you know. and experience matters more than grades, getting internships every year matters. you need to remember 60% of all college grads never use their degree to find workBe very careful your first year. This is an even bigger step than high school was with many willing and wanting to take advantage and use you for their fun! Stay out of the collage houses and their parties. Stay connected with your family.
Be open to new experiences, and try not to be too nervous.
Just put all your effort into it. Study hard, don't fool around and it's gonna be ok.
