What were you like on your first day of school?

As a child I was happy to go to school cause I was looking forward to making new friends, playing with the other kids, meeting my new teachers, and learning something new. According to my dad when he dropped me off on my first day of preschool I did not cry instead I went to go play with the other kids.

As I got older like in elementary school and middle school I kinda didn't like school at all and dreaded going back. Same for my first day of 7th grade.

I didn't start looking forward to school again until my 8th grade year and when I started highschool. And as a teenager I looked forward cause I was ready to hang out with my friends, go to more football games, and parties. And I remember me and some friends we would have sleepovers either a week before and sometimes the night before helping each other with what to wear and prepping each other and then we all would be in the girls bathroom getting ready by doing each other's hair and makeup on the first day.

First day of university I was excited but nervous but was ready to make some new friends, go to football games, go to parties, and learn something new from my professors which were all really cool and laid back (except for like three).

In kindergarten, I was painfully shy. It was SO BAD, that my teacher told my mother that she suspected that I was retarded & should be tested!😳 My mother told her to go F@#% herself! 😁😂🤣👍

Bless her. My mother is part of an older generation who were strong, independent and stoic. She's 88yo.

I did not like high school because my classes were boring and difficult and stressful and I was always targeted by bullies because of my low self esteem and personal insecurities but when I returned to university in my late 20’s I loved school because I was treated amazingly well by both professors and students and the bible studies had the most amazing people you could imagine and I met incredible guys at school, both friends and romantic interests, and I was shocked every day at how lucky I was to have a university education when people in poor countries are starving, I could not believe how lucky I was, felt like such a spoiled brat.

I did not look back even once.
Now also , when I am in hostel, I did not, even once, feel home sick.

Most of my friends felt homesick at least once. But I did not.

My mom says, I am unique that way.

First day of middle school, I was shy quiet and standing alone in the corner. Then my friend from preschool/elementary approached and introduced me to everyone

@Guardian45 i always state what guy I’m into. Anyone else was friend zoned or brozoned. Some guys wouldn't accept that and kept trying to make moves despite them having a girlfriend. The girls would gang up on me when I had no interest in their guy. And they’d continue dating the guys who wanted to cheat

I don't remember what I was like on the first day specifically. But I remember in my first year I was very rambunctious and I got into a lot of mischief and trouble haha.
