It is good steady work and nothing to be ashamed of.

I remember the custodian at my elementary school. His nickname was Blackie. I don't remember his real name, but he was the only adult that the kids didn't have to address as mister, miss or misses.

Everyone loved Blackie, who could fix anything and solve any problem. He also had a keyring with about 500 keys. He was a nice man.

yes, we had Mr. Mooney for a janitor in elementary school. I was a fat lonely kid and he was nice to me. Sometimes I hung out with him in the boiler room when i delivered the milk bottles.
After I graduated high school I walked by the old school and went in to look around. I saw Mr Mooney and he remembered me. I was not a fat kid anymore.

It's good, honest work that doesn't hurt anyone, but definitely not a job to brag about.
I had a janitor job when I was just out of highschool, I was cleaning banks at night.
I had a girlfriend, but you gotta tell them that the janitor job is just for now until you find something better.

Its a turnoff. I tried dating 2 before and the thought was just a turnoff. They were only janitors because they were high school dropouts and couldnt get much but shit i wouldve rather they worked in retail or at a fast food joint than do that

@SlangSlayer i would rather they be neither. I dont need a rich dude but one with at least a high school diploma and nonfast food/janitorial job would be nice

These two dudes didn't even want better for themselves because they felt they didn't deserve better so that was a turnoff itself

Not at all. It's not glamorous, but it's honest work- which can be a hard thing to find in this day and age.

A job is a job & if it pays & has good benefits that is all that counts. On the other hand shit happens & unfortunately you are going to be the one to clean it up.

I do that there are a few big name retail stores that pay their janitors as much as $15 or $16 a hour.
