I honestly think it depends on the job. Obviously for jobs with public relations it’s true. Otherwise, for jobs that don’t require a good presence or aren’t so “sociable” it isn’t true. It can be stated in general it’s true that good appearance makes you more desirable and more likely getting the job.
"Confident" not "attractive" - kiddo.
There are plenty of "attractive" girls who are trafficked and prostituted. Doesn't get them much in life. But confidence is a different game altogether.

Not really. A serving job yes of course. A cook not as much. A greeter? Yes. Warehouse stocker? Nope. I don’t have experience in a corporate world yet but I’d assume it’s the same deal
True for most jobs. Not true for anything involving labor or security.
