What were your most challenging classes in school/college, and how did you deal with them?

I had a course called Discrete Mathematics. It was taught by the chairman of the math dept. It was really hard and the exams were insane. We had 3 hours to take the exams and could go through 2 or 3 blue books. I used to bring 5 or 6 sharpened pencils with me. Nobody could finish and at the end of the 3 hours the professor would walk around and snatch the pencil out of your hand and tell you time was up.
On the night of the final exam I went to the bathroom afterwards and there was a grown man in my class who was in there crying. It was a horror show.
however, this professor was really a great educator. It was very difficult material and if you went to his office he would spend as much time as necessary until you understood it.
It has been almost 30 years and I can still calculate lottery odds and predict the weather.
Oh boy. That discrete mathematics is seriously crazy... I had it for 3 years, never passed on my own
I can relate
I took an upper division diff eq class, and the professor while no doubt he’s good at his research, is also a terrible teacher.
In high school, chemistry was the class I hated the most and in university my atheism class was the one I hated the most, we had to write 15 essays on why people did not believe in God. It was mandatory for my Major and around 20% of the class dropped out of the course meaning they would need to renounce their Major and wasted the first two years of prerequisites you had to take for permission to take that third year class.
Calculus. It got so bad the class cheated and we still all failed somehow. I forgot the science class that we struggled in too but yea
Oh dear
