30 minutes is the max. My current job is a 6 minute bike ride away (and 24 to 30 minute walk).

I used to work at a Taco Bell/Pizza Hut that was a two goddamn hour commute, everyday. That's 2 hours, one way! On [public transportation. That's like going from New York, to Philadelphia, just to work at a fast food place. Never again!

2 hours is my max commute, however it needs to be a consistent 2 hours and not one where it can be longer.

My current commute is 2-2.5 hours to work, depending on what jail I am working at. The reason it is so damn long is because I have to walk an hour to the closest bus stop since I live just over the county line. The bus ride itself is 1-1.5 hours, depending on which facility I am assigned to because one is right on my bus line while the other requires a transfer. BOTH bus rides take so damn long due to traffic and the fact that each route has a stop where the driver takes a 20-minute break.

If I had a car I could be at each facility in 30-45 minutes WITH traffic.

my wifey drives 1.5 to 2.5hr each way and she's ok with it. It's all a mental thing... she enjoys driving and... going somewhere else, so it works.

It all depends on the pay. I am not going to travel an hour for a job that pays me peanut. I am willing to travel two hours for a job that pays me really well.
