Would you take a photo of yourself holding your passport for a job application through an agency?

Anonymous

I sent my CV through to a recruitment agency in my country.

They are legit as I signed up 5 years ago.

With covid causing job losses I've reapplied through them for work opportunities.

They are under new management & have changed all of their staff.

I was reading through the terms of the contract & I stopped due to something I thought was strange.

In the new sign up process they want you to take a photo of yourself holding your passport.

With other agencies they just want a copy of your passport or your driver's license.

I don't feel comfortable doing this & just wondering if you would.

I don't mind sending a copy of my passport but not me holding it. I know it's still a photo of yourself but I think that's weird.

I haven't signed anything yet
