For some people it can be quite hard to work out the total as they aren't good at maths. I failed school, i remember one teacher didn't bother to sit me down and explain maths to me at me. I basically taught myself some maths when I started working in hospitality in my mid 20's and I had to use a register, it was only than that I learnt to do the half on a calculator you do.5 to deduct the 30 minute break. I still suck at maths

@Wade12345 as I said not everyone is good at Maths as some teachers didn't bother teaching maths properly.

I'm in my 30's and I guarantee I would not have been able to work out the asker question when I was in my mid 20's. Just because you learnt something like this in year 3 doesn't mean others did. Again not everyone had good teachers that taught properly. My teachers didn't even teach me proper grammar or spelling and they never taught me where to put these either, ' : ;

$375 before taxes. Most companies pay every other week; so that is $750. Depending on where you live you can expect about $500 after taxes. However if you worked 40 hours your take home pay would increase to $550; and if you worked 50 hours it would be $600. This is despite the fact that you would be making $125 and $187.50 more, respectively. As we have a progressive tax system that takes more of your pay the more you make until you reach the top marginal rate.
