Of course nothing illegal. My mom's requirement is that she should be a doctor or in a teaching profession.
No engineer, please. Just like that!
She thinks that engineer girls are too career-oriented, so much so that they are ready to sacrifice everything to get the job done. Their behavior and attitude are also problematic, she thought. They don't want to marry and not have kids above that.
Hence being an engineer, my wife, is a bit problematic for my mom.
She thinks that only 2 years of life if given to create a family, nobody expects more from a couple. And plus, you can get back into the industry anytime you want. Max to the max, what will happen? You will be 2 to 3 years behind in your professional life. But your personal life will be set na.
She claims that she has seen women delaying marriage for too long and end up not getting married at all. Other mental and societal problems also start to pile up.
You know what?
I agree with her on some points, but not on others.
I have talked with lots of girls firsthand, and yeah, agreed some of them are with attitude and everything, but most are not. The girls I know have been instructed by their households as to what to do and when to do it. In short, they know their priorities
I am talking exclusively about software engineers. About IT professionals.

I look at it this way, if a woman wants to work she can. In any field that her heart desires. I personally know electric female electricians, plumbers and Carpenters. The first female engineer I worked with was knocked out babe 😘 I also had female soldiers in my unit. I personally think females cannot work most males and do a better job. It is a big kudos for the women.

A career that would be a turn off is one that requires a person to be gone for multiple weeks at a time or maybe even months. I know u couldn't handle that cause it basically feels like your single anyone. So I wouldn't get involved with anyone that has that type of career.

Prostitute, escorting, stripper,

I dated a stripper for a year. She just stripped and did the occasional escorting so she could work her way through college and get her nursing degree.

Definitely!!

Yes. Women use their vaginas and tits to get things every day of their life. Many women won't go on dates and have sex with men unless the guy pays. Hence, she is an escort. Women will get married and never work, then leave their husband, take half his money, demand alimony. Hence, married women are escorts with long-term renewable contracts. Nearly all women are whores to some degree. If my daughter wanted to strip, it's no different than my daughter dating or getting married.

@d3n0939 I agree. It is a woman's evolutionary drive that is irresistible.

No. Girl. Don’t get me started. It’s a load of manipulative shit. I just got engaged to a lawyer who makes 300K and I make 150K, granted he’s a decade exactly older than me. He loved my drive and interest in math, but of course, also my heart.
Every man wants something different.
How is a woman who is accomplishing amazing things and achieving milestones not attractive? She’s doing something she loves. Truthfully you’ll never win either way so don’t mold yourself into what you think men would want based on answers you get here. There’s a certain subset of men that just make my blood boil. They hate gold diggers but also hate career women. They hate women who are too smart but also dumb ones. They hate women who put out on the 3rd date but also shame you if you don’t have sex with them until later.
Girl do what you want. Whatever it is. And the right guy will be attracted to you.16 Reply- +1 y
You kind of proved the point you were not trying to prove. Your guy earns more than you so he has no issue dating you. But if he earned 24k and you earning 250k... Then your point would be valid. In my opinion men don't care what women do or what they earn. I agree with you but I'm just pointing out your comment made no sense or at least showed that you don't know the topic well. I assume you are talking about the topic: "men don't like successful women" but you must've not known why that is a saying.
- +1 y
@242plusInfinity I’m really confused by your comment. What am I wrong about? What do you agree about then?
- +1 y
You brought up money to prove that a girl can earn a lot and still men would want her right? Or did you try to prove that a woman can have a job that yields more cash than most and still get a man because it doesn't bother men?
Either way your life would not prove anything because your man earns more than you. The idea that men don't like women in certain jobs (that earn more) is due to some woman believing men want to be the lead earner so they feel manly.
We agree on the notion that men don't inherently dislike career women and or above average earning women. - +1 y
@242plusInfinity my point is most successful men I know want a woman who is successful, and they do in fact care about that. I guess I’m not around average men to really know (or care) about what bothers them about a woman’s earnings.
- +1 y
You are around average men, just not average earners. But yeah I think all healthy men think like this. They either want someone who is doing things or they don't care at all. Only unhealthy men need someone below them. Unhealthy being a poor self-image I mean or maybe just a ignorant way of thinking.
- +1 y
@242plusInfinity awesome! Glad this was a conducive discussion. I worry sometimes. Some men on here get crazy in the comments and I worry about offending anyone.
Not really unless it somehow got in the way of our relationship but I don't see why it would.
Maybe something like a business woman who needs to go to many different countries aka not been able to stay with me that would be a good example of one that effects things I suppose.00 ReplyYes. Porn, stripping, prostitution, or a career that requires travel like a flight attendant, currently enlisted in the military, or traveling for business, or a doctor where they have odd hours and rotating shifts. Also if they work in politics for democrats. All of those would make me lose interest in her.

I don’t think i could be serious with anyone working as a sex worker of any kind. Call me old-fashioned. Ell oh ell!
Aside from that, as long as it’s legal, i do not care one bit what a woman does to earn money.00 Reply - +1 y
I would never date a woman who was a cop or in the military. The fact that a woman is in an occupation like law enforcement or military is evidence that she has no intellect. I have a difficult time letting stupid people inside my wire.
00 Reply - +1 y
The more popular answer would be anything relating to the porn industry, careers where she's physically absent for a long period of time. There are probably more descriptors but I can't think of more right now.
00 Reply My wife sold houses for a few years, and it hurt our home and sex life. She was bent out of shape if things were bad. High stress jobs like management do not lend themselves to a relaxed time. Some people ladies included can't leave job and come home and relax easily. You may get calls, texts pages>old day pagers that ruin your evening.

a Politician woman, for sure... lol20 Reply- +1 y
I won't date men or women who are currently in the military... I'll be friends, even friends with benefits, but I just can't do the constant moving around.
00 Reply Why would it turn me off. I would be proud of her. I am ambitious and want my SO to be ambitious as well. If she earns more money than me, i couldn't be more proud of her
00 Replynah unless she's a stripper, which I already see them when I go to the strip clubs on the weekends. therefore I dont need to be committed to one

Sort of A medical career is A Turn off but it’s also a Turn on
10 Reply - +1 y
Anything to do with stripping or pornography.
10 Reply - +1 y
Sex worker of any sort is a turn off. A dead end job that doesn't even support her is also a turn off. Outside of that I don't care.
10 Reply - +1 y
Only time I’d be turned off by a woman’s career choice is if it involves children as I am a child free for life man or if it involves a high level of probability for to cheat
00 Reply - +1 y
No the career is not a turn off. I’m attracted to them for many reasons. If they’re passionate about their career I don’t care what they do. Their passion is attractive
00 Reply Yeah! A lawyer or Nurse would be a huge turn off to me.
04 Reply- +1 y
Okay but why a nurse? She could save your life if needed to?
- +1 y
@BlueScorpio long hours and nurses have “colorful” personalities.
- +1 y
If it was a high-profile career like actress, model, singer, or TV weatherperson I would be turned on.
00 Reply Law Enforcement.
Lawyers.
IRS Agents.
Strippers.
Prostitutes.Basically the garbage of the world.
10 ReplyWell I never thought of it.. but for some reason I always found teachers and lawyers very hot, I'd like to bang one.

pornstar or only fans are an immediate pass, aside from that i don’t really care what a girl does for work as long as she can take care of herself.
