But not simply because they are "women". I am sure there is not a job which doesn't have a woman in it on some level.
Rather it's more about culture and performance issues. Women subtract from jobs and/or the job environment as their requirements are very different from men.
Hence its not so much jobs "should not do". But more about what provisions need to be made to enable more run of the mill women to do it.
Take sports, (will keep the trans issues out) There are few women who could compete with men in the mid tier. Sure there are outliers, but you cannot build a sport competition around such a small number. Then you have the marketing and promotions side, which again is something not tailored to women.

1 yI think that with technological developments going as they are, the physical requirement gap in jobs that is already quite small due to machinery will decrease even more.
Right now, I think if I were a project manager at a construction site, I would rather hire an average man than an average woman for the job, as the man is likely to have higher physical strength and endurance. Any job that requires physical strength and endurance is better suited for men. That's how it's always been. It's how we're built. But as I said, things are changing and soon, every company will likely have better equipment and technology to make the tasks easy for any worker.11 Reply- 1 y
However things like law enforcement and security are definitely better suited for men. We generally have better reaction time, coordination, and as I mentioned before... physical strength and endurance.
What Guys Said
1.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Nope.
In fact I think in ALL occupations that support essential services there should be an equal distribution of men and women engaging in the provision of that service. It's hardly fair is one group is living the life of Riley while the others are slaving away keeping the lights, water, power and infrastructure going then being blamed for all of societies problems by the other.Equality should be more than just what you can get and more of what you should give.

Anonymous(30-35)1 yWhat comes to mind are jobs where the safety of the public and/or coworkers is at stake, i. e., fireman, police, combat positions in the military. I will qualify that by saying some women are perfectly capable of doing a great job in those roles, but they are few and far between. The problem arises when entry standards are lowered to accommodate women who wouldn't otherwise qualify, and meet DEI quotas. That places people's safety and lives at risk just to meet DEI expectations, and that's wrong.
10 Reply831 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I think any job someone cannot do they should not do
Man or woman.
If we hired based on merits instead of random metrics like gender then more competent people will fill positions in every industry and society would flourish
But we live in a world where the lazy and complacent will cry the loudest to be given a free meal10 ReplyThe only type of job where I would say 'yes' is very hard physical labour. Oil platforms come to mind, maybe a few others.
But then again, there are women who are stronger than the average man. Let each person decide on what they want to do.
10 Reply6.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Hard labor jobs.
Don't get me wrong obviously I know some women can handle that kind of environment and work but the vast majority can not. And personally working in that field I wouldn't want someone who couldn't keep up and would tie the rest of us up working there.

1 yI feel that it's not so much shouldn't do as have the ability to do. Jobs where physical strength is required tend not to be ideal choices for many women, where physical confrontation is likely to occur can be another less than ideal job, that's just anatomy setting the boundaries for certain jobs.

1 yDon't think there is jobs they "shouldn't do" but certainly lots of jobs most women are less qualified to do compared to most men. And the reverse is also true. Men and women are different, and some jobs men are better at and some jobs women are better at.
10 Reply Hard labor, very dangerous type that requires a physical agility more akin to a male. Like deep mining and even the big commercial fishing vessels. Hanging steel. Controlling the drilling on oil rigs. It just comes down to the physical demands as to what they can not do. I see quite a few jobs they are capable of doing only get a very small percentage if that due to the nature of the craft. Be that very filthy or dangerous. I can't blame them on some as I wouldn't do a few myself.

1 yWhile I don't think there are certain jobs women shouldn't do. I do feel like women sort of stray away from some of them, because they fear it, not because they're "told they shouldn't"
I'm a man, do i want to be an engineer, not really. But, then again, i also have no idea what i want to do. I don't have a degree, yet10 ReplyThe system of male and female relationships have worked well up to the present, and hopefully females aren't given the task of inseminating themselves, or worse still life is created in another way.

1 y@thegreenyogi prisons, possibly military : however there's three types of women in this world, petite, go-getters and butch.
Now petite women shouldn't, however go-getters and butch women, they know what they've signed up for -

@thegreenyogi that's why Wall Street over decades (policy donors, decision makers) in capitalism decided long ago to let women vote and let women work ;

m 1 yMaybe not in general, but I have often wondered how a petite 50 kg policewoman would fare against a violent 150 kg football hooligan or an addict in a drug-induced rage.

1 yShould not do, or can not do? I don't know if there are any that women should not do. But there are some that very few women are capable of doing.

1 yI would say that men should not take on the job of having babies and women should not take on the job of trying to physically defend against violent men (unless she has no choice of course).

1 yI think this question generalizes too much. There are some very strong women. If those women want to do a traditionally man's job, she can if she wants.

1 yNah we really oughtta progress beyond barring people from doing what they want to do in life for arbitrary reasons like gender or race or whatever. Lets just just do whatever job we want.

So like men want to be nurses or secretaries or nannies so be it. Women want to be engineers, get into construction or computer science lets let them. You feel qualified for the job? You should be able to go for it without any gender barriers.
