Psychologist Tell me how's the life with this profession, are you guys happy doing this work?

I am not a psychologist. I do work in the healthcare field and our medical practice does refer patients to psychologists from time to time. I also know a couple of them as they are family friends of ours.

I can tell you that the people I know that work in this profession find it very rewarding. They have a passion for helping people cope with their problems. The two that I know well have been doing it for quite some time.

They are both very nice people. I know that the number one thing they have to deal with is depression. That is the problem of the majority of their patients. It takes a special person to constantly be around depressed people trying to help them.

I can only assume you are working towards or interested in this profession. Good for you and I hope you make it. There are so many that need professional counseling and can benefit. Good luck to you.

Yeah I've been in the bad spot myself in the past and i wanna help people be there for them when they feel world is ending and probably save couple of lives thank you for answering ❤️

I'm not a psychiatrist, I'm a funeral home owner/operator. Most people get through grief after losing a loved one on their own, but occasionally we may refer someone to a qualified grief counselor, usually a psychologist who works with hospice patient families. The ones I've spoken with find their work very rewarding. They are good with people, and enjoy helping others.

I am not a psychologist but I know several who work in the field. Most of them like it. Some say that it can be a bit draining hearing people's problems all day. I think it just comes down to that you really need to be the type to do it.
