How do I launch my writing career?

One way you could soft launch your career is to go on a website like Reddit where they have different communities, and join a writing community and start putting your work out there. There are a couple of guys I follow on Reddit who make their money from a patreon account, and update a new chapter in their story once or twice or three times a week and when the book is done they either self-publish on Amazon or try and edit the hell out of it and send it off to a regular publisher. Some people just love writing for the sake of writing too, and it's always a little difficult to turn something you love into the way you make money to live

Also! If you are a pretty good artist, or if you have a good friend who is a good artist you could put it out as a webcomic instead. There are whole communities of those calling usually also earning money either through ad revenue or Patreon or Kofi

Do you have a draft? If so have it edited and get some people you trust to provide feedback. Then you can self-publish on Amazon and promote it via FB, Instagram (pay some influencers who have followers that might be interested in books to pitch it for you), etc. Don’t be a perfectionist or the greatest author ever or you’ll never get started. It is important to actually turn out a book.
