Uhm since this is about education and career... there was this old professor and my mom and I used to clean his house for years, my mom still does and one day (It's been 6 years by now) he came up to me and asked me about my education and we talked and he offered to help me get a good place to study, he would even pay, he had connections and first I said yes but he tried to control my decision too much and so I declined his help, my mom was mortified!
But I was and still am determined to make it on my own, without anyone telling me what to do.

I only helped him write one of his books, cause he wasn't good with typing on the computer so I did that part and that even for free... stupid past me haha

I was 18 and just got out of a bad relationship with a girl that had me totally wrapped around her finger. I broke up with her which was very hard for me at the time because I still had strong feelings for her even though I knew she didn't.

This girl had been trying to flirt with me my whole senior year and I asked her out. We were having a good time it was good. But it wasn't quite as good as what I wanted me and this other girl to be. So when she called me and apologized for being distant and all the other stuff I couldn't say no to her.

So I broke up with the other girl and she cried and looked so betrayed. I realized later that I made one of the worst decisions I've ever made. The hardest thing about that life lesson was in order to grow from it, I had to accept that I was acting like a boy and not a man.

I made some changes and became a better person for it. But I still wish it never had to happen.

I used to feel like i squandered my public education. I’ve always been exceptionally intelligent. That basically made learning very easy, so i didn’t develop the requisite discipline and work ethic to become one of the masters of the universe. In hindsight, i did everything perfectly. I can’t imagine being more in love with who i am and what i do now. I’d have none of this if i did what everyone else was doing all those decades ago. Sometimes we really do win for losing. Finishing college.. more worried about boys and partying. I could have tried harder and got a degree, but I was more side tracked w/boys, getting fucked up, and partying. It was a waste of time, but I can't go back 20 years! lol
