It may have been an affair , a change of job , country , partner , a situation in general , a complaint.
What's an example of something you very nearly did , but in the end you didn't proceed and now you are very happy you didn't?

Was on track to having an affair. Emotions were all there. And the physical relationship was soon to follow. She was my coworker. Everyone gossiped about us being a thing. I told her it needed to stop and I won’t cheat on my wife; that I truly wanted the best for her which meant I needed to leave her life. She spiraled into emotional distress and quit her 14 yr career
I was never the same after that. My relationship with my wife improved. And I grew a greater sense of integrity and not being afraid to stand for doing the right thing and likewise being comfortable to admit when I’ve done the wrong thing. And perhaps most important, I learned that love is wanting someone to be happy, even if that means letting go
oddly enough, it was my experience with her that taught me how to be a man.
(didn't) bet on Aaron Rodgers to bring the Jets to a final game...
Many many thing on many many subjects. It’s hard to pin point as I feel like every bullet I dodge sent waves of other things that worked in my benefit and didn’t.
One would be dropping out of medical school to go into education. Had I stayed, I’m sure I would have been one of the many to have spiraled during the pandemic. Instead, I am able to endure the pandemic and ultimate be able to shift from school office work into travel work. The outcome has been great.
@molonski2
oh for sure. but from what I've seen while travelling, the world could used 1 million more quality doctors and medical professionals.
A lot of things :D
But lately I rejected the offer of partying in night clubs on the last Friday evening and it turned out to be a very wise decision.
You know , pretty much giving up niteclubs was a good thing for me too , in my middle 20s in particular , I remember over crowded venues , full with smoke , all rather dangerous , and costing a plethora of money..
Its much different now of course , and we have a wonderful night club here , free entry , bands playing and DJ , clean , easy to order a drink , only club I remember like it in US was in Myrtle Beach.

Nothing... I always go for what I want and it almost always is the wrong choice... because I don't have patience LOL
Becoming a police officer. I have worked as a Corrections Officer 3 times now and have seen how fucked up things are.
I can’t think of anything dramatic for me specifically but my mom got offered a job in NYC in late 2000/early 2001 that she declined. She would’ve been in Manhattan. Safe to say she is very glad that she turned it down
I love nyc, such a fun place to visit
Just like the song , if I were born in USA I would have liked to have made it in NYC , 9/11 actually changed it for the better , long term.
Not speaking positively of course for all those families who lost love ones , and the service workers trying to assist.
A couple of the guys here , lived most of their lives in NYC , built careers there , and they all speak fondly of all about NYC.
For me, it’s normally taking things seriously in the very past.
This actually just happened to me yesterday lol. Too embarrassed to admit what I planned on doing. But I’m now very glad it didn’t happen.
I almost bought a mini van. What was I thinking?
I had 3 kids and was looking for a family friendly vehicle. I went with this instead.
