I’m 22 I’ve always wanted to be a nurse but I’m alone I don’t have any financial support other than myself I have to send money back home as well I decided I’ll go to beauty school which is like 7 months good money etc but I don't know how I’ll go to nursing school I’m already almost 23 should I go for beauty school or nursing it’s so hard when u don’t have any family support I love both nursing and beauty school I just need help making up my mind
I think there's good money and lots of steady work in nursing. The downsides are that it's usually shift work with a rotating schedule and working nights as well. That can become tiring and very inconvenient. It can take a toll on your health and relationships. Also caring for patients you have to deal with some gross stuff on a daily basis. I don't know much about the beauty industry, I imagine it's less money than nursing and harder to find work, but the work hours are probably normal 8 hour days, (Which is great if you get married and end up having kids). The type of work you do would probably be less emotionally stressful than nursing for sure.
I'm a bit biased because my ex worked in healthcare and I hated her working nights and sleeping all day, and it was hard on our relationship. I would've loved for her to just work a normal shift anywhere.

Nursing is hard, but if you like it, go for nursing.
