Yeah I wanna stay in the topic education for today haha I was just thinking about this

Anywaaaays everyone always assumes that I was an A student, working hard, being active, teachers favorite etc

BUT I was so the opposite! Lmaooo
> I was always late
> probably did my homework once in my lifetime at home... cause mostly I just did them 5 mins before class or just didn't do them at all
> from geade 6 - 10 I always cheated on my exams too
> I actually had detention from grade 2 - 9 every fucking year at least once
> I often had the maximum of allowed absent days,
> and I nearly always slept during class in grade 11-13

My family still wonders how I did it until the end and finished with the highest school thing that you can have, plus went on to collect a number of certificates lol

I was a good student in parochial grammar school (1st - 8th) and got along well with my teachers.

I didn't like 9th grade in the Catholic all boy's school, so I didn't take it seriously.

In high school, I did well in subjects that I enjoyed without trying too hard. But I spent a lot of time partying and I ditched at lot of classes.
I did enjoy taking typing, wood shop and metal shop in summer school.

I went straight to community college part time, a couple classes per semester. I wanted to learn music theory and electronic music. Again, I did well in elective classes that I liked, but skated in GE classes.

I got handed a great (career) job when I was 26 and quite college. But when I was about 30, I went back to community college in evenings. This time, I excelled. I competed against myself to get the top grade in (almost) every class that I took by acing tests, doing all homework and extra credit. And some of those classes were advanced placement. I became good friends with a few professors.

I loved music theory, ancient art history, cultural anthropology and geology. I don't care for math or most sciences. I never had a career goal in mind. I just wanted to get my AA degree and learn interesting things.

I had no interest in a BA degree because I was fortunate enough to already have a decent career.

Very similar story, though I didn't do that well in the beginning. I actually missed so many days they wanted to keep me back a year. I was already ahead a year, so they basically wanted to put me in with kids my own age. But I went to an alternative school and graduated early.

My grades were mostly B and C. I didn't do any homework, or I would do some of it in class like 5 minutes before it started or sitting around waiting for the class to end, or while lecture is happening, but never spent any time on it at home.

What type of student are you or used to be?

Now I'm a seasoned college student and I mostly get all As (around 3.8 GPA), and I procrastinate all the time, don't study very much, but somehow keep doing well. I do actually work on assignments now and get them in, different from high school. I don't cheat on exams other than some exams have the material posted online (like Quizlet) and I might get lucky while studying with some resources that my professor is using the exact questions I studied with. (because a past student made a quiz out of the questions and the professor never changed them).

I am a home school student. I enjoy learning so I'm a very good student. I seldom miss a day of school and I do my homework. Otherwise, it would take longer to graduate. I'm already 2 grades ahead and I expect to graduate 12th at age 15. I plan to attend college.

My grades are A's and B's but my grade point average is not as high as it would be if I attended public schools because my grading system is far more difficult. I believe that if I attended public schools, I would make all A's. I don't have multiple choice exams. I must write out the answers to my exam questions. My parents don't believe making A's should be easy. I never cheat because my parents would be disappointed in me if I did.

I was a very good student. Top of my class, angel, spokesperson of the class if we got in trouble. But the older I got the less I started to care. Some teachers weren't all into their own job, exercises that didn't help us but was more to kill time, combined with stress from the family, I just became less patient, angrier. I still passed my classes but I put less passion in it than I used to. I got bored of it. I 0/100'd one exam just for fun, made a little drawing where every line represented a question and I would use the drawing to learn all the questions and ace the next exam, just based on that. Pretty bad, but that's how far it went.

I was glad for it to be over.

I was a terrible student. I didn’t like school. I was stuck there but my mind was never there.
I failed gym, didn’t like the teacher and cut her class. But 💯 in other gym classes.
I failed math, and had to take it again summer time.
I told my kids (who are very serious, studious students) and my niece…they couldn’t believe I was a “bad” student and failed classes.
I went to college, my GPA was low.
now…I consider myself very successful.
so I told my kids…I don’t care if they go to college or work hard in school to be book smart…but they also need to leanr to make good decisions.

I was an A-student in school, and like you, I often crammed my homework. Other than that, though, I pretty much followed the rules and rarely got in trouble.

In high school, I made it through all 4 years without getting detention, which some thought was great... I didn't. I didn't want a clean slate, so the last few weeks of my senior year, I did the kinds of things that would normally get detention, but the assistant principal, knowing I was trying to get detention, refused to give it to me. Finally, just one week before the end of my senior year, I went down the up staircase right in front of him (that was his favorite detention-giver) and he couldn't refuse.

In school I was the overachiever. Teacher asked for a 3 page paper, I gave 5. I truly worked my hardest all the way from Kindergarten through Senior year of college. I graduated in top 2 of my HS class and I got full tuition scholarships for college. After college, I worked my ass off at my first 2 jobs. By the third, i just stopped caring tbh. In university the first year I was very excited. I went to a school in my hometown. I soon realized all the residence people already know each other having been there for a week or more doing activities etc. I literally met almost nobody because I just came and went from school opposed to being there 24/7.

I would spend my weekends at my friends in another city where they went to university. Usually skipped Fridays and Mondays because we’d party for like 3-4 days straight.

I hated my school and my major so I skipped all the time. Ended up getting a full time job never went back.

I’m high school I didn’t apply myself at all in any shape or form till I was kicked out and went to a different school with 25 credits my junior year. Where I then fully applied my self and worked very hard and graduated my senior year 7 months early. I also take my current school very seriously compared to high school

Yeah, I was an overall decent kid, and until 8th grade, I was a pretty good student.. After that... Well.. I was pretty terrible... But most of the teachers still liked me.. I mostly was skipping school, and not doing my homework.. I was late for first period a lot too.

In high school I was just average. I got mostly Cs. I actually failed chemistry by one point and had to go to summer school. In college I was all over the place. It depended on how many hours I had to work part time to pay tuition. The more in debt I got , the worse my grades were.

I didn't take school serious. I was just making a fool out of myself disturbing the lessons on purpose getting punished for it almost every day. If I didn't got kicked out of class on certain days I was probably skipping those days smoking weed somewhere

I was that girl who's always running late for my first class. During my high school days, I was always a top notcher on exams, got a position on the student council, but I admit I wasn't a perfect student. We're somewhat alike, lol! Though one thing I don't do is cheating.. I'm happy that I changed my habits now that I've matured.

During highschool (for me 11-16), I would calculate the exact grade required to pass and study only to that specific extend, always barely passing.

During uni (16-20), I enjoyed the things I learned and was top of the class, doing 10-week projects for 6 people on my own in 1 week.

Bit of a shift, but just goes to show how much I enjoy being a programmer.

You were treated as an adult and I really enjoyed my time there, I made good friends and importantly I did really well in gaining my qualifications too.

From kindergarten up to now am senior in university I always took it seriously and always was an A student yes sometimes I hate preparing for the exams and waking up early doing assignments and stuff but I don't like not doing what I wake up for everyday. I don't like being the teacher's favourite I like sitting at the back I don't ask questions to the lecturers but I still do my best in everything.

I regret who I was back in highschool I wish I took school serious. But because my parents were/are overly strict I wasn’t allowed to have a social life after school so I took advantage of school time to socialize
