I also considered the cost of living in San Francisco. Average rent for a studio apartment is $2,500 a month and $3,400 for a one bedroom place.

Absolutely. I would get to use a power washer as a cleaning tool and as self defense. Plus, like all other government job, just do 40-50% of the job before clocking out and demand more funding for the program or else the problem will get even worse and, boom, $180K becomes $250K just to use a giant WaterPik

Honestly I probably would.. I already live in Chicago and encounter crack heads and drug addicts all the time.. San Fran would be only a bit worse.. Plus, cleaning that dookie off the streets would probably be satisfying.. I could probably do it for only a bit though..

I just thought I'd throw my two cents in here.
From age 18 - 20 year's old back in 1973-1975 I rented a 1 bedroom apartment that was 2 blocks from Ocean beach. The rent was $175.00/mo. Now I realize what a great deal that was! Of course since I was doing office work, I was making only $500/month. But it was enough to cover my expenses.

To answer your question, I would not take the job cleaning up 💩 poop. Too many ways to get myself sick because of all the germs and how easy it is to catch Ecoli infections from fecal matter. No thanks.

San Francisco is super expensive. Gas is high and crime rate is high. Sales Taxes are high and you have to pay additional taxes and electricity and water are going up. Anything less than $100K, you are considered poverty there. I lived in the Bay Area for 14 years.

If I was willing to live in SF I could have made more money than that back in the 90s when I was living in California. I didn't do it because I hate big cities like that. If I must go to that city I get the hell out as fast as I can. So I've already turned down more money than that. I could not live in that city for any amount of money.

San Fran is so poorly run, they literally spent $1.7 million on a public toilet that could buy 3,400 regular toilets or porta pottys.

THAT'S why they don't just make more public toilets. The simple reason why it costs so much (besides it being a Liberal sh*thole of a city) is bureaucratic red tape. zoning, construction costs, refusing to work with other states due to them being "homophobic," having limited contractors due to this, and other insanely idiotic laws and practices. And this isn't even the only city to be like this.

Also, as I posted above, it costs $2,500 a month just to get a studio apartment in San Francisco, which is the most expensive place in the country to live. That's about 4 times more expensive than most of the rest of the US; such as Philadelphia, where it only costs $600 a month for a studio apartment. (I myself lived in a four bedroom apartment there for $1,400 a month.) You'd think with literal sh*t everywhere on the streets, housing costs would have come down.
