So I have a nosey coworker she often tries to imitate me and ask me personal questions. I'd normally make up shit🤷🏽‍♀️ lol. Or now just ask why you wanna know? Same with clients they often ask my age because they say I look very young yet I'm very professional and mature. I lie again. I dont feel the work place is an appropriate place to ask personal questions. I dont owe them mu honesty especially since I feel it's in poor manners to ask intrusive questions.

I lie and it's funny as fuck and entertaining to keep the lie going

I ask them, " why"

I tell them none of their business and this is not the place for this

I just be honest like who gives a shit what they know about me

Lying is the preferred way for me.

This way, I can fabricate it with bits of my real life combined in them. A perfect lie is the one in which at least some truth is there. A tether to reality.

Plus, the people at the workplace are not my friends, but my colleagues, essentially. I do not want them to know literally anything about my life.

I lie about celebrity crushes, tv shows I watch, how many boyfriends I've had, etc. I feel like I can't lie about my age in the off-chance people believe in astrology, so I just say that I don't give out that information.

If the question is quite harmless, I'd give an honest answer.

If the question is irrelevant and/or the coworker isn't deserving of an answer, I'd say "no comment" or "That's none of your business!"

It depends how personal the question is. If very personal, I would simply say "I'd rather not answer that." If not so personal. I'd probably just tell then what they've asked.

Nothing. And they are gaining nothing by me saying anything. I gain that I'm not a liar. I've been lied to so much that I think liars should have their tongues ripped out. If I was a coworker and I found out you lied to me, I would never talk to you again. Even if it has to do with work cause you would just lie about it.
