Having a hard time getting a job?

Any advice? My last 6 online interviews didn't go well and required the use of a webcam. Well I answered the questions appropriately and was well groomed maybe I'm just ugly?

If you have the option to perform an interview in person, I'd recommend that over online interviews. Putting forth the effort to dress up, show up in person and on time (and by "on time" I mean early), that's a bit more impressive to a potential employer and may help swing things in your favor.

Remember to smile and be engaged. Listen closely, but don't be afraid to speak. Turn on the charm. Get them to like you. Help them imagine what working with you will be like. Play up your strengths. Use job-related jargon. Make them believe you know what you're doing and that you're good at it.

1. Even if you’re applying for a janitor position. Put on a nice dress (Tie and shirt at least, blazer even better). Hair brushed, shave your beard (trim your beard). Show what you are. If you wear glasses, wear your glasses.


2. Make sure your background is not cluttered.


3. Sit down properly, shoulder relaxed. Don’t play with your fingers or hands


4. Make good eye contact and listen to the question properly. If you don’t understand, ask again.


5. Take your time, gather your thoughts and answer


6. Thank them for their time, question them if you have anything. Actually, ask anything so that they have to think and give answer to you.


7. If you don’t succeed, apply another job. Tbh apply 3-4 jobs regularly.

Yeah HR people are the worst assholes around.

I like to be my own boss rather than emasculate myself by putting on the wagie song and dance.

When I do interview I tend not to grovel and tell make sure they know I have options. If they don't like it fuck em.
