maybe. I'd have the class doing pushups. But if it was a time to make fun of the girl, I think that's wrong. Disciplining her is ok.

Why the girl isn't paying attention is more important.

What's the girl eating for breakfast and lunch and how are her grades, whats her home environment like, and can she turn off her stupid phone to focus on something? Those are more important questions.

Yes. Be thankful that the PE teacher did not punish the entire class. My coaches used to make  everyone  run when anyone violated a rule. It was a way to make us police each other, and it worked.

Of course. I would have made her do push-ups as well. Children need discipline, not participation trophies and constant praise. When they do something wrong (like talking instead of paying attention), then they need to know that what they did wasn't the right thing to do.

They should announce those rules the first day of class so everyone is aware of the punishment. We had a teacher that would make students run an extra lap for every minute they were late, lol. We knew those rules from the first day, so most of us were there early lol.

Depends on how many laps here. If it's just around the gym then I'd say 10 would be appropriate or if it's on a track then one lap. But if they're making her run 50 laps or so, that's too far
