Why does my teacher do this?

He calls me “baby” or some nickname variant of my name to only me and no one else. he's always calling me a cutie or complimenting my appearance in some way etc etc and gives me a LOT of extra attention compared to anyone else. I know he's probably just being a nice teacher but i can't help but feel a little uncomfortable bc it feels like he's always watching me.

That's not cool. Sounds like a creeper to me. Baby or any other variant should be reserved for love interests or family. I'd either have the conversation directly with him if you are comfortable doing so, or I'd go to a female teacher or administrator and let them know it's making you uncomfortable. He may not realize he is doing it, however that is no excuse and after the whole "me too" movement, he should be aware of the proper way of addressing a girl.
