Why does he still want me to go to school if I make good money?

I get military disability and I do tattoos. Most of my money is tattoos and I do a good job so from tattoos I get paid like $7-12k a month on top of the military is like $12-16k a month. I was in school but I dropped out to focus on tattoos and it's something I love to do. So my boyfriend wanted me to stay in school to get my degree. I was going for psychology but I don't feel the need for it anymore, he said I'll make more money than what I'm doing. Also I've saved up some money so I'm interested in investing in real estate soon.

Your figures are off. I have a 70% disability rating and only get around $1600/ month. 100% disability rating is around $3500 (all these figures are published on the VA site).

Let's assume you're telling the truth with your tattoo income (doubtful), even if you're making $50,000 a year from that you'll make more than what you would with an undergrad psychology degree.

I work in HR/ OrgDev, and I know how much people make. People with BA of psych are at best hired as school guidance counselors, and make around $42k/yr. Psychology, communication, marketing, etc. are all useless degrees- almost as much so as gender studies.

I say all this to mean that your boyfriend doesn't know wtf he's talking about.

Boyfriend is right snd Education can never be stolen or lost. Not psychology though unless PhD aspirations. Your GI Bill is a great opportunity

It's none of his business. If you do go back to school, make sure it's something you can fall back on for income if needed. Otherwise it's a waste, unless you want the social life or just to learn the subject, which you can easily do online for free now.

Perhaps he just doesn't like you doing tattoos because he considers it to be intimate or something which he is not comfortable with?
