Why doesn't he want to support me financially?

I am in a bad financial spot right now and my boyfriend who is well off doesn't want to help me because he thinks it will ruin our relationship. He motivates me to keep pushing which I appreciate. If the roles were reversed I wouldn't have to think twice and I'd help him. I've never had anyone to stay by my side and be there for me regardless what's it about. I've always been on my own. This feels no different. He is mature and all but I feel like I can't depend on him. What do you all think? He has achives so much, he has been through a lot too. But I don't know I dont like how he refuses to help me when I am at my lowest. Its tiring to keep fighting and have no one since I was child.

He grew up poor, worked hard and now is successful. But yeah I mean he says he loves me and cares for me yet ghosts me when I am sharing what I'm going through.

I've grown up in a fucked up family. Physical, mental abuse from both my father and my mother and my family. It's much more ugly. I've no friends. All I have is me. No one in my corner really who won't ask questions and just be there lol I like to imagine in a parallel universe I've everything I want and I'm happy. End of rant
