Does this game plan make sense?

So basically I'm not crazy about my current job. It's not horrible but there's some things I don't like about it.

And I may have a higher paying job offer coming soon.

Here's my dilemma. I should be officially done paying child support forever sometime this June as far as I know. I'm not sure if I should switch jobs before then or just stick it out for a few more weeks.

I guess I’m not really sure what one has to do with the other? It sounds like whether you stay at this job or move to another you’ll be employed regardless, and be making more money. Unless you plan to leave the current job before being assured you’ll have a new one which just isn’t smart in general. But where does the child support tie into this?

Wait until you are done with your child support then you can go and get a new job. The last thing you want is to be out of a job and have child support payments. My understanding is that they will throw you in jail if you can't make child support payments.

Quit your current job only when you have an offer in writing AND a signed contract with the new place.

I would let the time run out before switching job. Last thing you need is to notify where you are if they need to track you down. Direct deposit sucks... be nice if you could get an old fashioned pay stub paper check.

Stick it out for a few more weeks. It'll make it easier in a court setting and you won't have any added issues.
