Manger stopped my shifts?

I work a zero hour contract with a care home my manger won't give me a permanent contract with hours so I applied for a different care home with the same company I got the job but it's for weekends only she cancelled all my Monday to Friday shifts because she found out I got a contract with hours in another care home and I didn't tell her HR told her by email but does she have the right to be mad at me because I wanted a secure contract for me and my children and she knew that and still didn't give me a contract as zero hour contract your not always going to have shifts so it like stepping on eggs shells I've been quite lucky to be honest she's always gave me shifts I won't take that away from her even through me and her have had issues now she's choose to replace me with agency so luckily my other manger secured me in time and give me with a proper contract extra shifts for the mean time I don't think she has a right to be mad or am I wrong after all she did say i could apply for another care

Anyone who is intentionally holding another back from a more secure life for them and their children and then gets upset whem they pursue it anyway? Well, F her.

You did the right thing and their reaction should have been to congratulate you. Ask if you still want to be in the pool of people they call and then wish you luck.

Stop secondguessing this. What you did is 100% right.
