Anyways he the one stopped me we was talking and than turns out my supervisor was further way behind me but calling my name out loud she never has done that before, first off why would she randomly call my name out and secondly I felt embarrassed as if I wasn’t supposed to talk to him or something, I mean he the one stopped me should have she called his name instead, am I overthinking this? I’m just standing there minding my own business than I hear her call my name not Rudely but sure was randomly, I mean it was lunch time so neither of us was supposed to work at the time

Girl that is super weird of your supervisor to randomly call your name out like that while you're talking to your coworker! I'd be weirded out and embarrassed too.
Like, why single you out specifically? And at a time when neither of you were working so who cares who you chat with for a minute. Sounds kinda like she was trying to interrupt on purpose or insinuate you shouldn't be talking to that guy. Rude!
I wouldn't overthink it too much though. Some bosses just like asserting their authority even when it's not needed. As long as you and your coworker weren't being inappropriate or anything, she had no reason to butt in.
I'd just ignore it if I were you. Keep chatting with that guy friend if you want - she doesn't control your breaks! And if she ever makes a deal about it again, just politely be like "we weren't working so it's our own time." Don't let her make you feel bad for nothing!
Probably best not to directly confront her about it either cause you know, work drama. But I'd be side-eyeing her for sure after that weirdness! Let me know if she bugs you again.
You think she was making me feel guilty or him?
Oooh girl I didn't even think about that angle, but you could definitely be onto something.
Looking back on it, I wonder if she was actually trying to make HIM feel guilty or uncomfortable by calling you out like that in front of him. Like subtly trying to get him to back off or seem like he was doing something wrong by talking to you, even during lunch.
She may have some weird possessive/protective thing going on where she doesn't want you talking to any male coworkers, even platonically. Which is total BS, but some people be cray like that.
Or it's possible she was trying to make YOU feel awkward or embarrassed so you'd be less likely to chat with him again. Trying to subtly bully you both apart from a distance, ugh.
Either way, her behavior was out of line. Just goes to show how crazy little power can go to some people's heads, am I right?
I'd still have a talk with her and be direct that you won't stand for harassment on company time or pleasure. Don't let her scare you off from associating with coworkers like a normal person! You got this, girl!
