Why would a guy tell me he's taken off from work but show up when I tell him I'm coming to the office?

So we hadn't seen each other in 2 weeks because I was on leave. I had texted him to ask him if he was in office today and he told me he was on half day and would be leaving by 1 pm. I told him I was coming to office today and would be there till late evening. Anyways 2 hrs later he texts me saying he would be coming to office in the evening and like just for an hour or so. I was like what lol. He clearly told he was taking half the day off.

So did he come just to see me cause we hadn't seen each other for 2 weeks? Does this hold any importance?

He flirts with me quite a bit and stares at me and is like touchy too.

Hmm that's kinda weird why he would lie about taking the day off if he was just gonna come in later anyway. Maybe he did want to see you since you said you guys hadn't seen each other for 2 weeks! That would make sense.

He definitely seems to like you if he's always flirting and touching you and stuff. Guys don't usually do that with girls they don't have feelings for. I'd say he probably did change his plans just to be able to see you at the office since you said you'd be there late. That's pretty obvious he likes you! As long as you like him back then I'd say go for it! Just don't get in trouble at work haha
