So why does this guy coworker always usually not a day where he won’t go without saying good morning how are you to me?

Not sure if he does it with anyone well overall he is a friendly guy but every time I get to work and after our meeting he will try find ways to say hi to me first it’s kinda annoying too though bc there are days that he will find ways to chat to me but some days he will say good morning how are you than get to work if he is not willing to always have a conversation with me than why bother to say hi I was thinking maybe I should just all together not say good morning back bc it’s becoming annoying or am I wrong?

Saying good morning is always a nice and polite thing to do. I see most people this days don’t even say hi 👋 or good morning. 🌞 I always say Good morning to everyone just a nice way to say hi to everyone and that’s all. Nothing more nothing less. If you just want people to stop saying good morning to you. Don’t respond and he will get the point. He will stop ✋.

its a respect thing. i do this most of the time (unless i hate the person strongly). I think its just a nice and positive way to start a shift. Its starting the day with warmth and connection with people.
