A lot of common things people say are silly like that. Take for instance the teacher saying a lot of people will fail their class. So that just means they are bad at teaching it or it is poorly designed. The usual handle stress, high pace and varied work? That just means, unless you're a firefighter or something, that things are poorly organized and they are consistently understaffed.
It is simple red flags to look out for. As long as you have the luxury of choosing a different place, it is normally good to do so.

That's what the inflationary economy is. Before they could treat you like shit and they could fire you or not hire during a job interview. But during covid people had unemployment checks and they got a better job or run businesses better than the companies they worked and they treat people better too.
So now companies are desperate for workers. A lot of people are on welfare and they don't want to go back to work and be treated like garbage. So the employees are now the ones with all the power and companies have to pamper you and make you feel good now.
