What was your major and how much debt did you accumulate? Trying to find who has most worthless degree & highest debt to go with it ?

No debt and while I was looking at majoring in Chemistry, I dropped out after Freshman year at OCC because I was already on track to make low six figures in my business that year. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

No debt what so ever.
If you are resourceful, you can learn anything they taught in universities and more, that which isn't covered in their programs.

Although now-a-days the access to educative sources is magnitudes higher than what would could access in libraries. Hell... Most careers, will have people who didn't have kids, they get bored and want to teach the world what they learned both through experience and in school. Which takes the form of Books, ebooks, youtube videos, "programs", podcasts, and more.
You could even get in touch with masterful people and learn directly from them.

But of course, the sheep would still have to be smart enough to choose the right shepherd's. To choose someone worthy to teach the art / craft. If they've been at their independent studies long enough though that wouldn't be an issue. They would be able to spot the charlatan's, and those who just parrot what they've read in texts (memorization with no critical faculties developed). And after weeding those out find the proper masters who truly understand the craft.

honestly, if AI is gonna develop at the current pace, all majors will be a complete waste of money a few years down the road.

i have a masters in enginerering and i can't tell you they already are a waste of money. Everything I learned was available for free at the library or via Google.

well all the knowledge about pretty much every current thing always was in the library before the internet. tho at university, it's not about learning what you want at the pace you decide. it's about learning what you need to get the standardized degree in the time and quality that is expected from someone who has your degree. that's the value you get with a masters. that you can proof to your employer that you were able to gain this a certain ammount of knowledge and expertise within a certain time frame and up to a certain standard. everyone can get the knowlegde if they have all the time in the world. tho only people with a masters degree can do it in a certain time.
