I went to a college that had a coop work program, and also had a few scholarships. Between the scholarships and coop, I earned enough money to pay for college, except I was a bit short my senior year. I borrowed a couple thousand dollars from my parents to finish my senior year, and paid them back, with interest, within a year after starting my first job after college.

I've no college debt. I've 10 GCSEs mostly A s, 5 A levels mostly A s, 2 Btecs, 2 NVQs, and degree in history i did mostly from home.

We were raised to not take out any unnecessary debt if it can be avoided. For instance my degree in history, if id gone to college to get it and ran up £20,000 id be straddled with while working a minimum wage job what would be the point. You can do nothing with a basic history degree on its own, maybe if you got your teaching credentials or went and got a masters to become a historian or something but again you'd have to match your history degree with another degree.
