Which college class should I take?

I am studying to get my Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education and I have to choose between Introduction to Communication or Elementary Spanish for a required credit. Common sense would tell me that if I am going into teaching that I'd need to know some Spanish since it's the 2nd most commonly spoken language in the US, but I am worried because I did not pass my Spanish classes when I was in high school. Also, is learning a new language while simultaneously taking 5 college classes even attainable? Does anyone have any tips for learning a new language?

I don't see why Intro to Comm isn't a basic requirement- not an option.

But being bi-ligual is a big selling point on your resume. Tough call. If you are in an area heavy with Spanish-speaking students, I guess I'd take the Spanish. Otherwise, the I-Comm.

I know Spanish isn't that hard to learn as many people I knew could say Spanish words when they would fool around and stuff in Spanish class so it must not be so hard lol

I would think communication would be very valuable. Everyone learns differently. Understanding different communication and learning styles could be beneficial for your students.

I think Intro to Communication would be better. The course is not all about the media. Teachers need to know how to communicate and maybe you will get some insight.
