Work from home. Since covid it'd been a real game changer for me. I am able to stay at home at least 4 days per week.
• I save money on travel
• I don't have to get up 2hrs b4
• I'm never late
• I'm less stressed out
• I'm able to all my work before 12 without more being heaped on me like if I was in the office.
• I'm better able to manage my own time without my boss or colleagues watching. Which means I can do a workout, take as many toilet breaks as I need, watch TV, have visitors, masturbate, have sex, have a snooze, wait for packages as long as I've all my work done and online nobody is the wiser.
• I can stay warm in the winter by controlling heating, stay cool in the summer. Heating and the AC has always been an issue at the office.
• I can dress as casual as I want. PJs or yoga pants all day.
• Nobody steals my lunch. This used to be a real problem. For the longest time someone would eat my lunch, not just mine. Management refused to do anything about it.
• Nobody else sabotaging my work of taking credit for my work. I learned this the hard way in my first job. A fellow employee was basically getting me to do her work for her and often taking credit for my work while at the same time blaming me for her mistakes. She spent her whole time sucking up to management and sabotaging others while doing zero work.
• Less contact with shitty people. Working in an office that's majority women is a toxic bitchy back stabbing environment, espicially women that are 18-35. Far easier working with a group of men. Men may be competing with you but overall they won't drag you or the rest of the office down in terms of group performance and are generally helpful if they can be especially if it costs them nothing or it isn't in competition with them, which is the opposite with working with women.

I teach kindergarten so wanting to work from home is a huge 'no' for me.

During the pandemic - teaching on a google link is something I hope never to have to do again.

However, we have school improvement days where students aren't in attendance and staff is in meetings all day - now, I don't mind working remote for those days. 🙂

I would rather work in person. Maybe if I had a hellish commute it would be different but I drive about a half hour to get to work

I dont have an office outside my home. But I do think having a separate working space does really help. Maybe an office external of the house would help. I do work as a freelance journalist and columnist.

I’d rather work inpatient. 12-24 hour shifts. 2-3 times a week. My dad used to work 2, 24 hour shifts a week. When I was working 12s I felt so rested and motivated.
