Working in the office vs working from home? Which do you prefer?

A lot of office type work are allowing people to work from home now instead of having them commute to an actual location since the pandemic days.

I personally don’t see the issue as long as the work gets done right? What do you think?

If you don’t work an office job just answer as if you did. Which would you prefer?

Are you kidding me? Only work from home. Getting up when I want, showering when I want, attending all doctor's visits with the youngest, napping when I need, meals when I want, working while laying in bed or on the balcony, or visiting my family...

i like both and i do both. sometimes it's nice to not be at home all day. can't separate work from home if you're always working from home.

i'm actually surprised at the poll results that people like working in the office. i thought everyone loved working from home. i chose the last one, "i could do either, no preference"

I currently have a balance of both.

My work is creative, and there's quite a bit of planning/designing that goes into it before execution, which is always on-site.

For that planning/designing period, I do work from home quite often, but I also do like having an office to go to. I typically am not required to go into the office except for a few client facing meetings, but I do go in probably two or three days a week. Its a change of scenery, the breakroom has snacks, I can interact directly with my coworkers, and if I have to go down to the warehouse to check on something or clarify something for my team its a lot easier to just walk down the stairs.

I do like working from home some as well though, especially after I've traveled for work, as I can catch up on laundry, etc., I can drink a latte from my espresso machine instead of drip coffee from the breakroom, I could be naked and no one would care, and my team can't just come up to my office and interrupt me at any given time.

There is a great deal of collaboration that occurs in an office , its vital for numerous projects , attending the office will make a massive comeback and is already happening , I like seeing everyone there , in the correct attire working collectively , even with the likes of all the virtual connection , its just not the same.

It may differ for others Industry by Industry , but if I was back running my entity I want most people in the office , role dependent.

Reading the boards during bullshit Covid , I read people asking " What movies to watch " , its not just finishing the work , its the holistic experience of attending , doesn't hurt the career either.

Going to the office, hands down. I don't like working at home - not at all. It sucks bad. Even doing a little moonlighting at home isn't much fun.

I want to leave the house. I don't want to work and live in the same place. It feels like I never get off work. I want the two to be completely separate. I also want to be around the people at work. It's the people that really make a company a good one to work for. They are far more important than the work itself.

I don't know about work from home since I have never done that but if it's like home schooling I would love it. I loved home schooling my kids during Covid get up when we wanted ate when we wanted do school outside or during a road trip... It was awesome!

I work from home and have in office time. I’m a high performer though. So yeah I work just as hard either way. I do a couple different things in the office I can’t do at home because I don’t have the resource to perform the job function. It’s okay though because I have plenty of work I do when I’m home. Gotta know how to time manage.

My office... well i can do whatever and work and I'm around people who are also here to work.

I’d hate working from home. Home is my safe space. I don’t want the two blended together.

I used to love coming home from a long ass day at work, take a nice bath, and just decompress anywhere in the house.

I think working from home gives me much more freedom but it also means I need a lot more discipline.

I think it depends on the job but for my current job, the office makes way more sense.

Work from home. In my office, I work alone, but I have to travel 100 km to do it. So if I work from home, I save 4 hours each day.
