Should millionaires even exist?

Question

Do you think the world food, shelter and other crises would end if there was an income limit that prevented anyone becoming a millionaire?

I always believed those who risked and/sacrificed their own lives so others unknown to them would live. Those are more valuable people than anyone making the big money.

If people were prevented from being millionaires, those crises would be much, much WORSE. The only reason ANY society manages to lift itself out of poverty is that drive that pushes people to acquire power and status. The easiest and most universal form of power is wealth. Wealth does not come from printers at the mint; it comes from industrial and agricultural (and to a much lesser extent, mineral) production- and THAT would barely exist if people were prevented from becoming millionaires.

I wouldn't even be a millionaire in JAPAN, and yet I'm typing this message on a computer with an internet connection, powered by cheap electricity in a house that's climate controlled, made of water resistant material that even keeps bugs out (mostly). Do you have ANY idea how many innovations, and refinements on innovations, that required to exist at all, much less to be obtainable by a poor person? Those innovations don't come easily; they take years or decades of work, and people don't do that just for the hell of it. Place a hard limit on the amount of money a person can make or have, and people will stop working hard enough to earn or have that much money. The gap between the rich and the poor will get BIGGER, not smaller.

Human nature is very fallible, and in some ways very stupid. That doesn't mean you can change it via legislation.

Yes we need them , Is Mone y just an abstraction? if everyone had access only to equal amount of resources, it would hinder the progress in my opinion. access to higher resources based on merit, popularity are thought about and has their own flaws. Because no human can keep track record. And we cannot leave it to machines or ask "GOD" No matter the flaws, Money complements human hunting nature "just get some". It can cause problems like hunger bitterness. But we are still early in resource management

Yeah  The problem is rampant colossal overpopulation 8 billion isn't sustainable, 2-3 billion at most
