I wouldn't say that's ethically or logically compatible no. Who are we or anyone to say that you're not allowed to seek wealth? Money in and of itself doesn't belong to any one entity or state. And where to draw the line? Where specifically does someone "earn too much" and what penalty should they then receive? And if no one is allowed to be a billionare, where will the brunt of taxes come from, or investment in businesses and companies that ultimately make the economy work?
No, too generalized and superficial an idea. And it's not evil to be wealthy in the first place. It's what you do with your resources.
Being wealthy isn't bad, but being absurdity wealthy is and needless too.
The limit should be one can not exceed more than 500 million. All the rest of the money goes to the government for country funding and reserve.
That's still a very arbitrary rule, not exceeding 500 million. 500 million in total bank account capacity you mean? There are many jobs out there with competency levels and workloads worth so much money that a years' worth of salary easily exceeds that. There's still no reasonable moral impetus from what I can see to call "absurd wealth" intrinsically bad. Needless depends on how you see it. Many extremely wealthy people create funds, scholarships, donate to medical research regularly, or use the money to pass on to the next generation of their family, and the generation after them and so on. As to ensure no one in their family ever lacks.
500 million in total bank assets should be the limit.
And 500 million is far more than enough to pass on to generations for several decades.
But then there's all the other factors previously mentioned. Like investments in the public and private sector which improves economy, or donations to charities or research. And in any regard, still no sensible ground to stand on as to who we are to say "you can't have that much/having that much is ethically wrong".
Who are we to say it's ethically wrong to snort cocaine into our personal bodies and get arrested for it?
Governments pass all kinds of laws wheather ethically right or not.
Doing the equivalency argument doesn't really work there. Cocaine has direct destructive effects regardless of how it is used for the person as well as for all those around them. That's not in the case of having a lot of money, it is entirely dependent on how it is used.
And when government does there's protest, appellations in court and widespread critique because government isn't supposed to just legislate wildly on every whim. Whether they sometimes ignore ethics in other lawmaking is unrelated to the point.
How the hell you think someone becomes a billionaire? By being fair and honest?
One becomes a billionaire through exploitation of labor force making people work around the clock and paying much less in salary than what they are generating for very overpriced items or essentials and also taking advantage of flawed tax system laws written to favor the elite rich and powerful.
Greed hurts the common and man and woman and families far more than a individual snorting some powder into his nostrils.
You're assuming every single billionare out there has become so dishonestly? That's willful cynicism and I expect you know that isn't true deep down.
The crimes necessary to become a billionaire should be. And they should definitely be heavily taxed.
Why is it just our “duty” to pay taxes as working class citizens, but taxing the rich is somehow “punishment”? Ell oh ell!
The rich really have people pulling the wool over their own eyes!

a few of the ways in which one can become a billionaire (especially a virtual one) should be illegal...
others, are more "legit" about it
No, just being anything should not be illegal. Legal or illegal should be tied to actions.
No, but billionaires' wealth should be taxed at a 90-95% rate.
I've voted no but just a quick point
If you want a pension, you'll have to be cool with billionaires
There is no ethical billionaires.
No. But they should pay more in taxes.
