It's natural to feel bad about lying, as it goes against our sense of honesty and integrity. It's important to remember that honesty is an important value in the workplace, and lying can potentially harm your reputation and relationships with colleagues.
However, it's also important to prioritize your own needs and boundaries in the workplace. If you have other commitments or responsibilities outside of work that require you to leave at a certain time, it's important to communicate that to your employer and work together to find a solution that works for both parties.
It's possible that your employer may be willing to accommodate your schedule, or may offer alternative solutions such as flexible working hours or job sharing. By being honest and transparent about your needs, you can build trust and respect with your employer and colleagues, and ensure that you are able to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
If you do feel like you need to lie about your availability, it may be helpful to consider why that is and whether there are alternative solutions that would allow you to be honest while still meeting your needs. It's important to prioritize your own well-being while also maintaining honesty and integrity in the workplace.
I don’t get what you’re lying about? Only working till 6? I wouldn’t call that a lie just cause you have spare time doesn’t mean you owe it to your job. You’re setting boundaries
because if i tell them i only want to work till 6 they prob won't give me hours jobs are like that
