What is the dominant gender in your field?

I'm a medical coder. I have one male coworker and a male direct supervisor. Everyone else is female. My other coworkers, my direct supervisors boss and her boss, and that person's, boss. I'm pretty sure it goes higher, but I don't know. What is the ratio between men and women in your job?

It's not just where I work now. When I took the class I was the only guy, and at my last job I was the only guy.

Depends how specific you get and if you count leadership positions as more dominant.

Generally speaking in journalism men are more prevalent and much more often in leadership positions. On the other hand there are more women working independant as journalists, at least here.

Just gender ratio. I mean technically we are owned by SSM and the upper echelon of SSM is primarily men now. Yet I don't talk to them because they don't know anything about what I do, outside the fact that my job is needed to keep it running. I talk with people who actually know what I am doing in detail. All but 2 are female.

I am pre- med... and hence you know the answer... men... i feel people doubt skills of women in medical field...

I'm in a science / engineering type field. Men are the majority but the number of women is increasing.
