Why is sexology a female dominated field?

Well, let's think about it. women dominate Academia, in general, and the soft sciences like Psychology in particular. And let's not forget modern sexism. A male researching human sexuality is presumed to be some sort of pervert, out only to improve his odds of getting laid. After all, he's part of the rapist toxic ruling class masculinity. right?

You think I'm joking, but I'm not. I used to get this abuse all the time in just the basic psych 101 class, never mind anything with "sex" in the title. I ended up dropping the course, since both the professor and the majority of my fellow students were so aggressively abusive. I switch to poly-sci, instead, as my freshman elective. Nor was my experience anything remotely like unique; it happened to almost every male I spoke to.

Psychology in general is dominate by females (65%+) and feminine men. It’s a job centered around talking about feelings, gossip, and relationships…

Because I'd rather try and start a frivolous argument in an attempt to alleviate my bordem. But since you won't bite I will point out that sexology is a branch if psychology which is something like 75% women. Which (not a psych major) I'd assume has something to do with women being more emotionally open on average than men.

I am not sure about sexology, but genetic counseling is a female dominated field though and they frequently lie about paternity.
