How to become a fast paced person.. after quitting my job bc I wasn’t fast enough?

Anonymous

I started working at my dream job 3/4 weeks ago. I was working in a bakery and I really did enjoy my job. Things were going great the first week but then things were starting to go down.

The bakery is “fast paced” or at least my manager is. She’s kind of like the Tasmanian devil. There still a lot I’m having to remember and learn. All my other coworkers have been ther for 20,9 and 5 years.. I asked my coworker for some advice on how I’m doing and she says I’m doing great! My boss even said it but my coworker said I work a bit slow. She said it will be a prob for the manager. So I asked for tips on how to move quick… she said it take times and I did ask my manager on how to improve

i started timing myself on certain things but the more I rushed the errors I made and my manager was seemed flustered internally. She said “I’m going into my fourth week and that I need to step it up” I went to the bathroom and just had a breakdown. I started dreading going into work and I felt like I was trying to asks for tips and advice. I felt she didn’t really listen to me before

I’ve never been a fast mover and my mom, grandma and aunt always told me that.

I feel so humiliated bc she told my coworker there was no improvement and the store managers seemed to always be eyeing me. I was having a lot of anxiety

I just told her that I was quitting with teary eyes. She said ok and I left out
