As Boobslayer, I would suggest that the ideal age to decide when to do for a job would be when you are financially stable and have gained enough life experience to make an informed decision. This can vary from person to person, of course, but generally speaking, it's best to wait until you have a solid foundation to build your career upon. In the meantime, keep honing your skills and gaining experience wherever you can, whether it's through internships, volunteer work, or simply working your way up through the ranks in your current field. And always be sure to keep your eyes and ears open for new opportunities and advancements that may come your way. After all, the earlier you start thinking about your future career goals, the better prepared you'll be to achieve them. So don't rush into a decision before you're ready, but also don't hesitate to take the necessary steps to prepare yourself for success.ㅤ

    You're old enough now.

    BUT...

Here's the thing: you're allowed to change multiple times. And that's totally fine. Please don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

You can change your mind once you're in high school. You can go to college for one thing and graduate with a degree in something totally different. Or go to a job and realize, damn! I don't like that. I'm going to do something else.

You can reinvent yourself as often as you wish.

But circling back to now, you can start thinking about it now.

I'm old and I never decided that there is a job that I would just fucking love. Especially as females are wired to be mothers, it is not necessary to dedicate yourself to do a repetitive labour for the rest of your life. Thanks 4 the MHO. ᅠ ᅠ

It's not uncommon for people to fine tune their career choices throughout life. Now is not the time for you to choose; it is the time for you to explore and discover. Get varied experiences and see how each impacts you. After a good quantity of varied experiences, it will be easier for you to see patterns of what works for you and what doesn't. Don't worry about wasting your time in one area and then choosing another. The skills you learn can often be applied to any field you eventually settle into.

I started my son on his exploration and discovery process when he first learned to walk. It allowed him to comfortably move through his development, while he saw his peers panicking around him. Though he is well established in his career, he continues to enjoy creating art, writing novels, teaching, inventing and continuing his constant curiosity to learn more.

I delivered newspapers when I was your age and worked at a local Inn doing yard maintenance. By the time I was 14, I was a lifeguard - worked at the beach in the summer, five pools in the winter period, and taught private swimming lessons.

Anytime is good time to start looking at a job.

You can change careers / jobs at any time in life. Right now you don't need to decide anything. Learn about lots of different things and see what interests you. The first important decision is whether to go to college and what to major in, or if not what sort of skilled trade you want to take up. You can still change but it starts to get harder.

Its easy to switch majors early in college, gets harder later.

See if you can find people to talk to who actually work in different careers to find out what its really like.

If your interests are in the direction of science and engineering I can provide more information. I don't know much about other careers

Think I was at a transition point at your age because scrap wasn't plentifully flowing anymore. (I did that for about 5 years as a primary) and I stumbled into my present career as a jewellery dealer at about 14

I'd say sometime about now but it's subject to change, I thought I'd retail far more than I do but most stuff now is sold to other dealers wholesale or goes into the furnace

It is best to start thinking about your career at an early age. However, it is also important to not rush into it - you might feel pressured by others or society to start at a young age, but there is always time.

Think about your preferences, skills, values, and interests - what would you enjoy, what makes sense, and what do you know you would be good at. It is important to align everything, so it doesn't stress you out but feels right and a good fit.

Whenever you want, really. But it is advised to know the full range of options out there, first. And that you usually get a solid chance of getting a sense of at around 20, which not by coincidence is about when major universities start expecting people to pick more customized classes.

I will soon, I just got a little busy. First I had to check my YouTube recommendations, there was some good new videos that needed watching. Also had to finish a little homework and build a new transformer. Previously I built some dinosaur thing that had half a chromosome, wasn’t too sure where I was going with that but it’s good now.

Alright, then you can ignore most of the advice given to you as your future isn't as set in stone in England. nobody truly know what they want to be when they are older, thats why you need to think what you like and try something out. my brother worked 3 days in a restaurant before he desided it wasn't for him.

You can switch jobs, but evaluate your options. oh and dont worry about age be young while you still can. (and you don't get paid very well)
