Been pushing for a raise, salary correction for a while now, and am getting the run around, and I’m just tired of the games and half truths. Do I need to like raise my voice and threaten to quit or something? Like how many more hoops do I have to jump through?
Work sucks.

It depends on:
- what industry you work in a
- how important your value in the company
- what kind of company it is
If its a big company and you're sure they have like stable income or even growing income and no issues with orders, etc. and if you feel your value is high (i. e. without you, they'll have to work a lot with new person to get him into business), then you need to demand a raise otherwise just find another job and quit
If its a small company that does not have stable income and your input is not valuable (i. e. they can replace you any time), forget about raise and seek for a different job
Other thing is you can think about how you can make company you work in, earn more income, so they can make a raise for you.
You need to realize that if you threaten that you will quit and they call your bluff you will have to quit. Better to have another job waiting so you can negotiate from a position of strength.
you say you have a better offer and you will leave unless they match the salary. If they refuse you still have to leave so its a gamble.
