How do I politely get people to leave me alone?

I've heard them slag me off to others and now they are being overly polite and friendly like we are best buddies and injecting themselves into conversations. I dont want to be rude but as its a working environment and some higher levels but they are a level 10 lingerer.

How do i politely say back right up and f*ck off.

That last line cracked me up lol well since you’re in a professional setting, you don’t want to do anything that would create a hostile work environment. With people I don’t vibe with at work I just avoid them and keep interactions minimized to where we don’t talk unless need be. I don’t do this unless I don’t care to clear the air or to get along better, I just don’t like them in it’s ok not to get along with everyone. If I were you though and I’d actually been hearing things about me, I’d either confront them and go to HR. I won’t have my name slandered on the job.
