Is it ok to aim for a low responsibility job with average pay than working myself to death in a high paying job?

That really depends!
If you're not struggling with bills or debt, sure.
Never underestimate how great it feels to be valued, or to have little responsibilities.
I do an entry level job at work despite a lot of experience and I love it. Used to be a manager and will never look back. I'm not mentally strong enough to suffer for a job.
I have no kids and I don’t have a car. My rent is only £425 so my expenses are pretty low
Go for it. If you need money later you'll need to step up for a harder job most likely.
But if you're content to chill for a year or two, by all means, work on your mental health.
I have friends that say they work 80 hr weeks like working 2 jobs in a day then working a side hustle at the weekends
Those friends would probably be better off with one decent paying job rather than two bad paying jobs.
Easier said than done, though.
I mean I could get two easy jobs but I'd never be home to relax. It's like work has full custody of me and my bed gets visitation rights.
I know must be so bad for his health to do that. But he’s working in a minimum wage job £10.42 the UK rate. But yeah I’m never gonna have kids or be one of these that aim for fancy cars so I don’t need to aim to high
If you work yourself to death, it defeats the entire purpose of having a job.
More money is only better if it improves your life. If it makes it worse, its useless.
When I earned more money I just spent my weekends recovering not really worth it in the end
Yeah thats crazy, take less pay and work less, when you find better pay for the same or less work, take that.

You answered your own question and why are u asking us what to do with your life
Only if you can afford it.
Not like a minimum wage job either but something I can still live off comfortably
Then I say go for it. I wish I could afford to work at a low responsibility job that pays average pay. I'm sort of working that anyways and need a higher paying job. I wish I had that option to get one. 😕
Yes, it's ok.
Your life is your life.
Whatever makes you happier.
