I'm digging these weekend night shift, is that normal, lol?

I best friend is a nurse partitioner. She works 3 nights 7pm to 7am. She gets home and get whatever rest she can till she has to care for her two sons.
She makes good money but she is very stressed from her job.
Night shifts are not easy in the hospital for her.
Enjoy it while you can.
I had a night shift on the weekdays for a while. Not exactly like yours. I wasn't alone, I had management around and loud machines going. But I enjoyed it too. I learned a bit about the job and what it took for me to complete the tasks at hand. However, it became too much for me. I would prefer something like what you have.
So yes, it's totally fine to enjoy your night shift job. No one around to rush you or bother you during your work. And you get to complete your night in silence or while listening to music if you choose. Good luck with it
Years ago I had a job delivering newspapers.
The tough part was having to go to work every single day even if it was only for a few hours. There was a certain serenity to it driving around in the dark , cup of hot coffee in my cup holder , throwing papers out the window and listening to the classical music program from NPR ( Mozart concerto no.10 comes to mind).
Shitty pay but good times.
That's my kinda job 🤣..
It is normal. I work Sundays, and having the office all to myself can be a blessing.
Yeah, I literally love this weekend. Never thought I'd be saying this, but the older I get, the more I value peace. Seems, although not perfect, all the time, but weekends and nights seem to give me the quiet I need.

it is nice having the place to yourself. I used to work from noon until 9 pm. After 5 o;clock when the bosses would go home it got nice and quiet.
Omg I love that lol
It can be refreshing amd nice experience wich may give positive result on your mindset and stres!
I love working alone when nobody is around. I just have to be careful not to get hurt badly because nobody would find me
I've been on night shift for 9 years. It takes its toll.
How many days a week do you do it? I'm allowed to take naps here and I only do it 3 days a week
3 12s but I usually volunteer for overtime during the week.
You work 3 nights yet that's taking a toll on you? Lol dude you have 4 days off
I usually do 52-60 hours of nights with the overtime. I liked nights at first as well but it will fuck up your circadian rhythm with time. Add in responsibilities that must be done during the day. Some days I get 3 to 4 hours of sleep. So yes it takes its toll with chronic fatigue and insomnia. I imagine if I got to kick my feet up and take naps at work it'd be easy to do, but that's not the case unfortunately.
My sleep would be off too if I did 60hr nights. I would never do that. 3 days is all I do and off 4 days.
60 hrs days for a few months I'd do other than that no
I prefer pulling the night shift during the week.
I've been doing my job for almost 34 years. The majority of my shifts are night shifts for exactly the same reasons you posted.
I love to work when the others are at home you get more done and you feel good too!
Yep that sounds understandable
Seems pretty normal lol
Nothing wrong dear
I love it
