What's your usual activity when you work the night shift?
It's rare that I work night shifts but it depends on the kid group how much work there is with them. Sometimes just have to check them 1x an hour, some you don't have to check - sometimes they struggle sleeping then there's of course more work there.
Often catch up on paper work, make plans, status, new "sub-goal", read up on literature - listen to podcasts about diagnosis and pedagogy on slow nights.
Oh and make lunches. Kids have to eat in school. (If on a week day).
Never had a night shift. I get too few hours at school as it is, and it is boring too.
I thought so.
Sounds very entertaining 😲

When working the night shift, maintaining a routine is key. I would focus on tasks that require deep concentration, as the night hours often offer fewer distractions. Taking regular breaks to stay alert is essential. I'd also communicate with colleagues to ensure smooth transitions between shifts. Staying hydrated and having nutritious snacks can help maintain energy levels. Lastly, I would allocate some time for personal development, like reading or taking an online course, to make the most of the quiet hours.
