How many times do you change your job? How long is the longest you work in one place?

I worked in sales for almost 20 years. Then I changed jobs and went into IT. I worked in 5 different places the longest was 16 years. I changed jobs again and went into teaching. It lasted 3 years and then I got another IT job. Next year I hope to be teaching again. I am getting ready to retire.

best is to change job after 1-2 years.

staying in same place doesn’t give promotions.
